Some Stallion Wisdom - Part 3 - Ask a Mare

Ask a mare.

I should hope so! And do it really nice, and say "please" and "thank you".

A mare usually lets you know just what she thinks about everything. She knows what she wants and what she doesn't want, and she will always let you know her opinion. If she doesn't think you are listening she will sometimes just ignore you, if you push and make her angry know that she does not make empty threats - something will happen - and it will probably not be good.  If she says "no" - try another way - little things can make all the difference.

Details are important to a mare, so if you are going to be asking her for something, you need to pay close attention. When she sees that you are listening and giving her the respect she deserves, she will be willing to listen and pay attention to you. And when you get that from her - she gives it 100%. A mare will form really strong bonds with those she trusts and respects. It is truly a relationship to treasure.

Cherish a Mare.
